Bora Bora

Dates: April 15-21

Location: Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Arrival/Departure Airport: Bora Bora Airport aka Motu Mute (BOB). Note: Oftentimes flights are through Tahiti’s Fa’a’ā International Airport (PPT)

At Anchor in Crystalline Waters

Northwest of Tahiti, Bora Bora is known as the “Jewel of the South Seas” and a definite item to check off your bucket list. As an aside, its romantic ambiance means it is also a popular honeymoon spot. With a main mountainous island surrounded by reefs and islets, Bora Bora has pristine beaches, various coral reefs, beautiful wildlife, jungles, and turquoise waters.

Sailing the seas

Bora Bora was awarded top island in Oceana by Condé Nast. All guests are crowned with a floral lei as they step off their flight. Around the island, there are finger-like coves such as Taha’a lagoon where we can explore and snorkel under thick palm trees.

What is it like to embark on a sailing adventure with the coaches at Sailboat Coaching International??

This trip is about relaxing and rejuvenating from our daily lives, while also doing deep and meaningful work on oneself and our next steps in life. An intimate group, we will eat together, explore together, and grow together.

Sunbathing after an intense coaching session

The week is designed to mix the perfect blend of deep personal work and pure enjoyment of travel, adventure, and connection!  In between snorkeling through the coves and sunbathing, there will be plenty of time to reflect on where we are in our lives and where we want to go next.

Inland excursions include visiting the local village of Vaitape, filled with local boutiques and restaurants.  Other options include guided hikes and Jeep safaris exploring Mount Pahai and Mount Otemany (additional costs apply). Bora Bora offers both tropical jungles and coral reefs.

The great part of exploring Bora Bora by boat is that you can visit off-the-beaten path and more peaceful coves away from the main tourist attractions, providing space for deep personal reflection and the opportunity to reconnect with nature. With our tight-knit group, we will be able to anchor wherever we please to do snorkeling, diving, cruising, and fishing.

Additional local options (not included in trip): shark and ray feeding, glass bottom boat tours, jet skiing, parasailing, skydiving, kitesurfing, paddle boarding, scuba diving with eagle rays, and exploring the island by helicopter. There will also be options to go ashore to dine out, buy souvenirs, etc.

We strongly recommend that you spend a week exploring French Polynesia on your own after your time with us on the boat!

Our days will end enjoying the sunset, chatting, relaxing, and reflecting on our learnings. After sunset, our evenings are open, leaving us time to go to bed early, read, reflect, or stay up dancing!

The Sailing Catamarans we coach on are a luxurious home for our group of visionaries.  They glide effortlessly over the water, and can really get moving in the right winds! The boat has several cabins that sleep two each. Please keep in mind that even on a luxury yacht, living on a boat has a bit of a luxury camping or “glamping” feel. We will have limits on water and the rooms are significantly smaller than staying in a hotel. There is limited air conditioning available in the evenings.

With up to nine participants and three coaches, the boat will be very intimate. We expect an international group of highly motivated and adventurous individuals looking to make big change in their lives while enjoying themselves at sea.

All our coaches are experienced sailors sharing their sailing expertise with you as we explore.  They will do their best to find quiet, calm harbours and anchorages for sleeping in the evening and making sure we visit the most fun and exciting parts of Bora Bora. The sailboat has a motor for use when necessary to stay on schedule, but journey will have a decent amount of pristine sailing time through the beautiful clear waters of Bora Bora.

Everyone to gets to experience the power and beauty of sailing every day. That may be time at the helm, adjusting the sails, etc. Our coaches are passionate about sailing and love shepherding those who are new to sailing from a pre-beginner to confident novice. We love sailing and want you to enjoy it too!
